Hibachi like this were used with charcoal to heat water for tea and sake as well as provide heat for the room they are in. # Wood sorts present are : Keyaki - Japanese elm wood Kiri - Paulownia wood Copper hardware and iron lining # Early Taisho period (1912-1926) # in very good condition although showing some use and aging giving the whole a beautiful patina # fully functional with its 3 front drawers and a special one near the fireplace on top # pictures are part of the description # rather heavy with the iron parts , it is advised to contact the seller for appropriate shipping to your country
