What you can expect

Enjoy the picturesque Fitzroy Island for snorkelling, glass-bottom boat tours, rainforest walks, or simply relaxing on Australia's #1 beach, Nudey Beach. There is so much to do on land and in the water that you'll need a whole day. Half-day options are available for those with limited time.

Spend a day soaking up the sun and sand on Fitzroy Island, an unspoiled outpost on the Great Barrier Reef covered in lush rainforest and surrounded by clear waters and coral reefs. Ferry across from Cairns to experience the best of the island with activities like snorkelling.

Make your way directly to the vessel to board for a scenic, 50-minute cruise to Fitzroy Island.

After that, the day is yours to while away at your leisure. Stroll along walking trails in the National Park, dig your toes into the sand at Nudey Beach, and head back to the beach hut when you're ready to pick up your lunch (if the option is selected). Enjoy the rest of the afternoon on the island before your return ferry back to Cairns.

Please note that glass-bottom boats, snorkel equipment, and guided snorkel tours now require pre-booking. Picnic lunch and beach hire equipment, including stand-up paddleboards and paddle skis, are no longer available.
