We stayed at Bonum 4 nights and found it to be comfortable, quiet, and in a great neighborhood. Small but charming grounds with a picnic table. The subway is 5-6 blocks away and tons of coffee shops and restaurants are within a short walk. There is a cafe/bar attached but appears to be separate from the hotel itself. Service at the hotel is very limited. There is a tiny front desk and no lounge area. No restaurant on premises. Do not expect concierge service. The hotel is primarily geared independent travelers. Would recommend.

Fabulous location with palaces in walking distance. The staff were very friendly and helpful. One thing I would say is that the sound proofing between rooms is not good due to it being a traditional wooden house.

The rooms were beautiful, comfortable and peaceful. We would definitely book again. There was a small amount of mildew in the bathroom next to the tub but for an old building it was in beautiful condition and perfect for us. One thing to note about our stay. We had trouble at check in- the cleric had walked away from the desk for a smoke or coffee or something and we were stuck in a downpour ringing the intercom to get in for 20 minutes. Another guest finally came and called using their cell phone to get the employee back, but that was quite frustrating when standing in the rain at night.

Enjoyed the Hanok — it was quiet, very clean, comfortable, very helpful staff, great location (I walked to the main Palace for the changing of the guards, and also to the Modern Art Museum, as well as to great shopping areas and restaurants). I much preferred this Hanok over a typical hotel, but if you want room service or an on-site restaurant, this probably isn’t the place for you. I had my laundry done same-day on my last day — so great to travel to my next destination with a backpack full of clean clothes. Very pleased with my experience at this Hanok and recommend it…

Takes about an hour from Incheon (let hotel know if you will arrive after 10pm and they will stay late to greet you). Traditional village is close by and easily walkable. Staff very helpful organising trips, taxis and even ordering takeaway food. Great WiFi. All in all a great place to stay for a vacation.

The hotel is clean and rooms look fresh and nice. The only downside was that the cafe street outside is very noisy until around midnight, so we had to fall asleep with a constant drinking crowd noise and cheering every night.
