Staying in the cabins was an excellent choice. Nice, quiet, and away from the crowd, but close enough to walk to the main building lobby. The staff was excellent and so very friendly. The cafeteria restaurant near this hotel was not good and it was expensive. Instead, opt for the small coffee shop/eatery in the lobby of the hotel, where you will find reasonably priced, good food (one can order a whole pizza for under $10). This was one of the better choices of places to eat inside the park. Best options of food choices are outside of the West entrance of the park. Be sure to always be cautious of bears! There was a mama grizzly and two cubs in this hotel area. Be smart and buy bear spray.

The rooms were fairly small for a double queen room. It was nothing to write home about in terms of luxury. We were super hot overnight and had to open the windows because there was no way to cool down the room. Then it was too cold because it was mid May in the Rocky Mountains. Since the staff are seasonal many didn’t know where the lodge was and even sent us to the wrong building once we checked in, but we were there in the first few days of opening. All in all, it is a nice-ish room in Yellowstone park. We enjoyed the convenience of being right in the park.

The room was nice, not fancy. Check-in was great The property was beautiful but the food was horrific. We were warned not to eat in the park so let me reiterate that advice, don't eat food sold in the park. Bring your own food.

Check in time was 4 pm. We showed up at 4:30 and was told our room wasn’t ready. The employee told us to try back in an hour but it probably wouldn’t be ready then either. She told us to go walk around and explore the facility which was outside. Well a snow blizzard was goin on at the moment. Finally got checked into room. The temperature in the room was approx. 39 degrees. No heater was on in room. Took over hour to get room temp. Upto 60 degrees. For nearly $500 per night stay. I expect better! I wouldn’t recommend anyone to ever stay in this resort never!!

Our room was very clean and nice. Everything looked new. We had never been to Yellowstone and didn’t realize our hotel rooms didn’t have a tv. Which I blame myself for not looking under amenities. The food was cafeteria style and not great. But it was edible.

We arrived on the day it reopened for the season. Staff were a little stressed but I’m sure would have settled into their roles very quickly. Signage to the dining areas for walkers could be improved a little as they seemed to start well and then disappear. The room was very clean and towels particularly thick. Many things seemed to be closing on site as we arrived eg. Grocery store at 6pm. So if you need provisions you have to be quick.

Easy accessible to Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, but it would be good to have a brief introduction, rather then wait for asking.

A brilliant place to stay when in Yellowstone, the location is ideal for exploring the whole park and the rooms are comfy, spacious and clean. Really appreciated having a warm bath everyday and the staff were really helpful.

We loved being able to stay inside Yellowstone park. We could travel many places and still be near our lodge. The crowds were small in October. The only thing we didn't realize was the limited food options. Most eating places were closed for the season. We had just planned on buying all our meals, but decided we need to make a short stop exit of the park in Gardiner, Montana and get lunch and breakfast supplies at a grocery store. The weather was great and really enjoyed out trip.

Not great accommodations
No one told us that the area was in a shut down due to snow we had to do all the asking Also had some food of our own asked to heat up in there microwave they said they could not The food choices were terrible do understand that it is off season but they couldn’t seem to accommodate us at all Most hotels you stay in have microwaves this one does not even any TV We were stuck at the hotel with no other food choices

The price for this property is ABSURD. Especially in the off season, the staff seemed unprepared for people, the rooms are basic, their are no amenities really, the dinning option is disgusting and is reminiscent of a 1950s school cafeteria. And the food to match. The shop in the hotel was suppose to be open at 6am, at 6:35 I went to get coffee and they hadn’t even turned on the coffee machines to make anything. The $340 price tag is a joke.

The room was room was comfortable and clean. Our only issue was the lack of availability for food due to it being so close to the end of the season. My feeling is that if it is open then everything should be available.

Meh
Two weeks before closing for season and with very few guests, it was very noisy. Dog barked nonstop in room nearby, could hear everything in room next door. Dining options limited to the cafeteria, which served the same 4 reheated dishes each of the 4 nights we were there. Final night grabbed a premade egg salad sandwich in the gift shop, and it was frozen solid.

Unfortunately the property is in need of an update. There is no real thermostat in the room, they warn you about the Internet when you check in, and while the facility is quaint, modernization is really needed. In addition only having frozen pizzas and sandwiches pre packaged offsite as the offseason dining options at the hotel is really embarrassing. A walk to the restaurant up the street, yielded a choice of pasta or pasta.
