I recently had a deeply troubling experience at Azul Resort. Upon arrival, we were bombarded by high-pressure sales tactics immediately promising discounts if we attended a presentation. We reluctantly accepted to attend a presentation the next morning. The condition of the hotel was subpar, with unkept rooms that did not match the ocean-facing view we paid for. After bringing this to the attention of management, we were promised the correct room type, but were made to wait for over 12 hours, effectively wasting a day of our short visit. In addition to these issues, during a moment when I was attempting to take a nap, a staff member made inappropriate and unwelcome advances toward my wife, insinuating sexual advancements without directly stating them. This behavior made both of us extremely uncomfortable and is completely unacceptable. Fixtures and screws were rusted in the upgraded room we paid for. The lack of basic amenities and maintenance was egregious. The food lacked adequate seasoning. Room service had a limited menu. On one occasion, room service failed to arrive altogether. I will never recommend anyone to go there, and I personally will never return. I am actively discouraging everyone I meet from staying at Azul Resort. After exhausting all avenues for resolution with the hotel's management, I have contacted my credit card company to explore options for obtaining a refund for the time wasted at this resort since their management is incapable of providing resolut
