Upon arrival at 4, was told our room was not ready so we could enjoy the amenities, which are open to the public. So after driving hours to get here with a toddler, we had to dig through our suitcases in the non-lit parking garage to find our swimsuits and head down to the pools, which are all accessible by the public aside from the indoor pool, which we couldn’t get into because we didn’t have room keys yet.
While checking in, Paige didn’t explain anything about the resort or any of its amenities that we were supposed to take advantage of while we waited for our room to be ready, after check in time. I had to ask for a map.
At 5:30, we finally got a text that our room was ready. We went back to the front desk, were handed our keys, and that was literally it. Nobody explained how to get to our rooms, where to go, or anything at all. We walked around the lobby aimlessly, until a janitor finally asked us if we needed help finding something, and helped us to our room.
The room was really clean. No microwave which I thought was on the listing, but maybe I read it wrong.
The pools were all clean, and well maintained.
The indoor water park is NOT included with your stay.
For the price you pay, all you seem to get is the room. Everything else seems accessible to the public.
We were not offered anything to compensate for the room not being ready, not even a late check out.
