About this property

Authentic log cabin on the south shore 3 miles west of Port Wing, WI. The one of a kind cabin has everything you need for your stay. The sleeping loft has a queen size log framed bed with quality linens and amenities. You can look out the six foot triangle windows directly at the lake or just sleep away. The cabin is heated by a beautiful gas stove fireplace or electric. Also provided with a flat screen tv with dish net . We have now added full fiber internet new for 2022. No pets are invited to the cabin.
Once outside you have a private firepit on the bluff with wood available. Beautiful summer sunsets from the pit and the bluff.
The cabins are 37 miles from Superior, WI and three miles west of the town of Port Wing. We have 180 feet of lakeshore to enjoy.
Superior View cabins offers great views of the lake..

31st Anniversary

For the first time in 21yrs, my husband and I were able to take a trip to celebrate our anniversary! This cabin getaway was perfect! Small but just the right size for the two of us! And to be right next to Lake Superior was the cherry on top! First time to Wisconsin and first time to Lake Superior! Thank you for a marvelous anniversary gift!

South Shore Cabin

We had a wonderful stay and just love the cabin. It is our 2nd stay and we intend to return again. The cabin was just as noted and it was spotless! The location was perfect for sitting above the shoreline overlooking Lake Superior, we saw eagles on few occasions while relaxing on the shore. We also enjoyed Bayfield, the Apostle Island boat tour and exploring the town. Jack and Cherie were the best to work with. They provided excellent bar/grill options and also hiking suggestions. They responded promptly to my questions and overall were great to interact with. We loved our stay!

Everything here is perfect

We couldn't have made the place and setting more perfect. The use of space is very thoughtful and accommodating. If one has any complaints, they should just go to a hotel. The view, beach, and fire pit are fantastic. Our hosts were friendly and helpful but also gave us our space. They respect that you're here to get away. We are hoping to come back next year

Beautiful Location and Cozy Cabin

My spouse and I greatly enjoyed our stay. This location has a nice beach on the lake, which we enjoyed lounging on and wading in. Kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, glasses, knives, and fridge. It was perfect for two people, but no more than two. Nice fire pit with seating around it, and firewood supplied. The property manager was very responsive, helpful, and kind. Provided good info on the area, and responded in a timely manner.

Cherie and I have been married for 40 years and have two daugthers Christie and Raegan. We have the men in our girls lives and also 6 grandchildren Jackson , Savanna, Alex, Charlie, Cooper and Benjamin.

Why they chose this property

10 years ago I had a appointment in Bayfield that fell through to the next day. I had never been on the South Shore and had a day to look around. Cherie and I would visit the North Shore two to three times a year. We have not been north of Duluth for over 10 years as we fell in love with the sunsets, sandy beaches, and warmer water. The South Shore has so many outdoor options without the crowds. So much to see and do from Port Wing , Herbster, Cornucopia, Bayfield and Ashland. We are located at the halfway point from Duluth to Bayfield offering the opportunity to visit both during your stay or simply just hunker down at the shore.

What makes this property unique

We have always wanted to build a log cabin so somehow we ended up building 3 of them. Starting in spring of 2024 we rent out two twin log cabins. The log cabins are authentic hand hued very cute little houses that folks are really enjoying. Both cabins have everything you need for a short stay. Both cabins have nice views of the South Shore from inside and out. Each cabin have a queen bed in the loft that is ideal for a party of two. We do allow additional guests (2) with a memory foam option for children 4-17. We highly suggest that for comfort reasons 4 adults should look for other options outside of Superior View LLC
