About this property

Secluded 2-acre Lake Front Home! Special off-season rates!

Beautiful, spacious house on a lake! You won't want to leave after spending some time here in nature.
In CT's tranquil and majestic "Quiet Corner" this private 2-acre home is located on Lake Chamberlain. Known for its bass fishing and beautiful birds, the lake is wonderful for swimming, kayaking, and getting lost in meditative nature. Come and ice skate and sled in winter and swim, fish and kayak in the summer!
Our property is in what's known as The Last Green Valley! The Last Green Valley is green by day and dark by night. We are a National Heritage Corridor with a rich history in a surprisingly rural landscape. With 84% forest and farm, we are the last swath of dark night sky in the coastal sprawl between Boston and Washington DC.
Our property is 12 miles from Sturbridge Village. We are 25 minutes from Brimfield Antique Center. Providence is 29 miles from the vacation home, while Worcester is 24 miles away. We are only a couple of miles to The Woodstock Fair! Boston is an hour from us, while New York City is 2 hours 30 min! Local state forests to hike here everywhere!
Come and enjoy and relax!

Beautiful property!
Only a short stay for a local family wedding, but the house was perfect for our group of 7. Very comfortable, kitchen is huge and great for gathering around with some snacks and a few beverages while looking out on the stunning view down the hill to the pond. Would love to come back and spend more time exploring the area.

Even in Winter, lovely
Clearly, this is a location and a house that is geared for summer, but we needed a place for the dead of winter and it's still very comfortable, and nice.

My husband, Dan, and I live in the area and are Entrepreneurs. We have a horse farm 10 minutes down the road from this house. We love this part of the country and we love living here!

Why they chose this property

This property started as a learning center for my Coaching business. As Covid hit and things slowed down, we decided to rent it and share it's beauty, with people who love to travel!

What makes this property unique

It's private, spacious, and everyone says it has a really good energy and feel to the place. I agree. You will love all the things in nature our home has to offer!

Please note**
We have well water and not city water. This water is hard. We do have a water softening system and it has been tested and is safe to drink and shower in. The toilets and tub have been stained - we have tried (and are continuing to try) products that will remove the stains. If you want to bring your own drinking water you can, but the water is safe to drink.
