About this property

Total Seclusion in your own hidden valley

Escape the hustle and bustle - WITHOUT any additional cabins or owner residences to compromise your privacy. Enjoy total seclusion, you've pratically got your own hidden valley! We have a private heated 5 person spa tub which we do keep locked. If you wish to utilise the spa tub, there is an additional non-refundable booking fee of $300 plus a $500 damage deposit which is refunded if the spa tub and it's water are returned in an acceptable condition. Please refer to our house rules for the spa rules. If you wish to book our spa, please send us a message.

Please be assured that we are following strict COVID-19 Safety Precautions and have doubled our own normally high standards of cleanliness.

Tranquillity at its best. 150 acres of private property surrounded by national parkland, rustic meets chic with this quaintly styled attic farmhouse. Savour the rural landscape set on an idyllic Australiana backdrop from our large front veranda.

With an abundance of wildlife, watch wallabies and roos hop by while you sit back on the veranda with the paper or your favourite wine. There is a resident kookaburra who often visits and resident lyre birds are often seen in close proximity to the house.

Cosy up to the wood combustion fire for the cooler months and air conditioning for the warmer months.

Yango Creek farmhouse caters perfectly well for families, friendly gatherings and is the perfect destination for romantic retreats.

Only 900m from Wollombi historical village, Yango Creek farmhouse is close to local wineries and concert venues.

Yango Creek Farmhouse at Lazy Acres -
Be just that - Lazy, or spend the day discovering Wollombi and the Hunter Valley region before winding down to the outdoor fire pit in cooler months under the stars on a clear night, and recall the days events before you cosy up to bed.

Fabulous Family Weekend
Lazy Acres is the perfect description of this wonderful property. We had a fabulous family weekend, the house was so comfortable, beautifully decorated and well appointed with everything we needed. There was plenty of room for our party of 7 adults. The surrounding bushland was beautiful - even in the rain. We had visits from kangaroos, a wombat and a variety of birds - amazing! The property owner was easy to communicate with and super helpful - thanks so much Antonina!

Great Place
Fantastic place, everything was fabulously maintained and your new en-suite upstairs is beautiful. The spa was very relaxing and we enjoyed just getting away and just chilling out and doing nothing at all. Had the best couple of days and we will definitely be back again. Many thanks again

Pretty Wollombi house
A comfortable quirkily-decorated house good for friends with three separate double rooms with lovely views and own bathrooms.. beautiful and quiet location. Spa not working but gorgeous sitting around fire pit. Only complaint was a lot of rules but maybe owners have had some bad experiences.

Fun
We had an amazing stay in Wollombi. Couldn't have asked for better. Great property. Everything we could ask for at hand. Comfortable rooms. We had a blast with our little grandson watching ducks and cows. Playing in the fields and swinging in the hammock. Host was just brilliant.

Hidden gem
This is a lovely property that is secluded and private, yet close to town. There were great amenities and the house was clean and tidy. A lovely spot for a winter getaway. Antonina was a wonderful host, going above and beyond in helping us with some car troubles we had while staying. We will certainly be back.

Welcome to my home away from home. A partnership of rural and city living, I have fallen in love with the little hamlet village of Wollombi. As an avid traveller myself, I appreciate the importance of the small things that sometimes create the best travel memoirs.

Why they chose this property

Yango Creek Farmhouse is located on 'Lazy Acres' property - and Lazy Acres draws you in to be just that - lazy.
From the slow reveal as you drive up the 1.5km driveway around the mountain, the cabin is nestled in the most tranquil, secluded bush setting - and there is nothing like waking up to the smells and sounds of the Australian bush.
Lazy Acres is in close proximity to historic Wollombi Village, close to local wineries and concert venues.
