Enjoy the perfect combination of privacy and easy beach access. Our home is located in a quiet culdesac just minutes from the Agua Hedionda lagoon and beach. Enjoy some early morning fishing for Sea Bass and Halibut. Your Coffee will still be hot when you get there because its 300 feet away. Or walk another 4 minutes along the lagoon trail and surf or Boogie board two of the funnest breaks in all of San Diego at Famous Tamarack Beach.
Of course if your in the mood to just relax at home you'll enjoy sitting on the front porch reading a good book. Or sit by your own private heated tropical pool with 8' waterfall. Or truly relax in your private jetted spa nestled within in a wonderful rock feature grotto.
When your ready for lunch or dinner walk to Carlsbad's Vigilucci's Italian Resteraunt or drive along the coast one mile to the Village of Carlsbad for everything from Sushi to Great Mexican Food. And I mean REAL Mexican Food. Or keep it simple and pick up some Steaks and Burgers and BBQ out back for Dinner by the Pool or fire pit.

The perfect way to end our California dream vacation!!!

Of the three properties we visited on our travels, this property really stands out, in terms of quality and features. It pretty much has everything... Bob Marley playing by the incredible pool - if you want it... lazy afternoons on the golden sands of Tamarack Beach - if you want it... fat steaks outside on the high-end grill and an outlet centre, 10 minutes away... if you want it! ;-) The quaint village of Carlsbad (a decent, but do-able stroll away) had bundles of character and a good selection of restaurants, with a great Gelato store tucked away by the fountain in the square. The fit and finish of the property was really top-class, and had everything we needed as a base to explore SoCal. There are some occasional train horns, from the local railway, but this did not detract from the superb memories we have created. Our kids were blown away by the pool, hot tub and grotto. The property owners (Dave & Janet) could not have been more accommodating or helpful in either the lead up to, or during, our stay. Even getting to the property from Interstate 5 was a breeze. Loved it all!

Great place for a family get together

The pool area is ideal for swimming and having fun. The covered area of the spa pool was great for our grandchildren as they were out of the sun and Dave set the temperature so it was not too hot for little ones. The living area is spacious and kitchen is well equipped. Nice to have separate play room. The grandchildren loved the books especially green eggs and ham. Walk to the beach was easy. Some of the bedrooms are small but that did not spoil our holiday.The museum of making music was great fun on a rainy day.

Fantastic stay

So happy to find this gem - the backyard with the pool, hot tub and other amenities was especially great. Well located for an easy walk to the beach, and close to all main attractions. We had a terrific stay and will stay again.

Great locayion

Great location walkable to beach and downtown Carlsbad. The outdoor space makes this property- lovely backyard, pool, and hot tub area. The bedrooms and bath need some attention. Bedrooms are not as they are written in description, for three adult couples the beds were not comfortable. The room represented as a queen and twin is not- it is just a twin with trundle and does not accurately turn into a queen. There is a couch futon sleeper but that is in the main front room, not a bedroom. This setup would be fine for teens and kids, but not for adult groups more than 2 couples.

Great Beach House

The house was very nice with an exceptional, beautiful backyard pool, grotto, hot tub seating 10 with a lovely waterfall. Also nice seating with a fire pit and an outdoor kitchen. The primary suite and bath were lovely and the other 3 bedroom were small but served their purpose. Great workable kitchen and roomy living and dining area. Overall, our stay was wonderful and loved the location being so close to the beach. Amazing ocean view! The host was very accommodating and available if needed. I would stay there again.

Local Carlsbad residents call our street the best spot it Carlsbad. Off the beaten path, our home is located on a quiet culdesac street located on a low lying bluff overlooking the beautiful Agua Hedionda Lagoon. A peaceful walk along the spacious lagoon trail gets you to the beach in 5 minutes. Surf, boogie board, or swim at Famous Tamarck Beach. It really is the best spot in Carlsbad!
