Die kunterbunte Villa Enigma liegt toll am Hügel mit Blick übers Tal. Der kleine wilde Garten lädt zum Erkunden ein und im Steinkreis schwingt gute Energie. Das Haus besteht aus zwei Teilen, einer FeWo mit 5 Schlafplätzen und dem Yoga-Haus mit 8+ Schlafplätzen. Alles ist reichlich vorhanden zum Leben, Kochen, Sitzen mit einer Gruppe von Freunden oder Familie.

Wir haben das Haus für vier Tage für ein Familienwochenende mit zwölf Personen gebucht. Schöne Zimmer, moderne Bäder, großer Ess- und Wohnbereich mit Kamin und toller Aussicht. Sehr nette Vermieter, angenehmes Ambiente. Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen und können dieses Haus von Herzen empfehlen. Auch die Freitzeitmöglichkeiten sind vielfältig. Wir waren im Vulkaneum, im Kletterwald und auf dem Baumkronenpfad. Sehr schön dort!

Die Ankunft und der Empfang waren sehr gut und sehr freundlich. Die Vermieterin stand für alle Rückfragen telefonisch zur Verfügung. Die Umgebung ist sehr schön und idyllisch.Der Vogelpark ist für einen Ausflug mit,oder ohne Kinder bestens geeignet. Die Unterkunft ist auf zwei Ebenen,ohne direkte Verbindung aufgeteilt. Im unteren Bereich ist für eine Gruppe ausreichend Platz.

Wat er in de advertentie op belvilla stond kwam niet overeen met de werkelijkheid. Zo hadden wij de begane grond en de eerste verdieping tot onze beschikken maar niet de tweede. Er zou een infrarood sauna zijn maar die was niet meer in gebruik. De eigenaar kwam een dag langs en ging dood leuk met een vriendin in de stenen cirkel in de tuin een uur lang mediteren. Daar waren wij niet van gediend. De eigenaar en ik begrepen elkaar hier helaas niet in. Het huis zelf is erg netjes. Sanitaire voorzieningen zijn prima in orde. De keuken is ietwat klein voor een huis voor 15 mensen. Mooie tuin met nog mooier uitzicht. Idyllisch plattelands omgeving en erg rustig. Het huis zelf is nogal spiritueel ingericht, wat soms afdeed aan wat praktische zaken.

Large, comfortable house for extended-family stay

My extended family (7 adults, 4 kids) stayed in the house at Michelbach for a week in October 2018. We found it to be a comfortable house, well equipped, with plenty of room for all, and with common space sufficient for all 11 to gather in the evenings to discuss the day's adventures and dine together. The house had ample beds (no one slept on a fold-out couch, and all 4 households involved had their own room(s)), at least 4 bathrooms, and a compact but well-equipped kitchen (with stove/oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, and ample dishes and cookware). The one missing item was a microwave. The house had off-street parking for 4 vehicles, and outdoor space for relaxation and meditation. The house is part of a small, quiet neighborhood, located on a hillside overlooking the town of Schotten (about 5 minutes drive to Schotten center). Schotten has restaurants, a bakery, butcher, several grocery stores, banks, a nice park, and other amenities. Schotten is about 45 minutes drive to the rail line to Frankfurt, and 90 minutes drive to Frankfurt airport. Just 2 minutes drive from Michelbach is an excellent German restaurant, Gasthaus zum Bilstein, in the village of Busenborn. Also close by, just 10 minutes drive, is the amusement park Sommerrodelbahn Hoherodskopf. This park has an aerial ropes course, an alpine slide, playground, mini-golf, several food options, and hiking, with many scenic views. Our kids spent most of a day at the park and enjoyed it greatly. The ropes course was able to find someone on staff to provide English-language instruction for using the course. American visitors should be aware that Schotten and Michelbach are off the normal tourist track, and as a result, English speakers can be found, but should not be expected in every shop or attraction. Overall: The house met our needs very well, and we would stay there again if traveling with a similarly large party.
