Amazing Property, Amazing Hosts!

Our family stayed at Casa Arrullo for 2 weeks in Feb/Mar of 2019. The entire experience was great. Gaby was a pleasure to deal with, went out of her way to answer all of our queries, and even purchased a crib for our baby to sleep in while we were there. The location of the property is fantastic. A walk of under 10 minutes to reach the town center along the beach boardwalk, and restaurants only a few minutes away behind the property. The property itself is located a few steps up from the boardwalk right at the edge of Playa Madera. Playa Madera’s beach is not quite as nice as Playa La Ropa, however it is relatively quiet and only 10 seconds away from the property. There are multiple beach restaurants along the beach, with chairs/loungers available at not cost (unlike Playa La Ropa). The property itself is great. You enter the property at the pool level with the bungalow entrances located a half story above, accessible via stairs. Each bungalow contained 2 bedrooms, both with AC that worked well, a bathroom, and a living area with table, couch and a balcony. All were in great condition, and extremely clean. The next level up is the amazing open air palapa living area. The photos don’t really do justice to how great a space this is, or how large. In addition to the kitchen, there is a large dining table, 2 hammocks, and tons of seating. A great place to sit and enjoy the sounds of the ocean (although it would be nice if there was some seating available near the edge to truly enjoy the view). Lastly, our hoses, Leo and Silvia. It’s truly hard to say enough good things about them, they are wonderful people. They keep the property impeccably clean and really go above and beyond to make the stay an experience to remember. In addition to the delightful breakfast served daily, we had Silvia prepare dinner for us on two occasions, which were some of the best meals we had on the entire vacation. For one meal in particular it was for a birthday of one of the members of our family. Leo, Silvia and family went out of their way to make it an extraordinary experience, setting up a dining table near the pool, hanging up balloons and setting out candles for us to enjoy the evening past the sunset. They made it a very special night that our family will remember always. Both Leo and Silvia were also great with our kids, - they really felt like part of our family by the end of the trip. I would recommend this property to anyone!

A piece of Paradise in Zihuatanejo

Gaby, the owner was very responsive. Booking was easy. Casa Arrullo is located right on Playa La Madera. Easy access to the beach and close to many shops and restaurants in town. We really enjoyed our stay. It was quiet and very relaxing. The staff, Leo and Silvia, were welcoming and very attentive. Met us at checkin, took us shopping and makes fabulous Margaritas. Silvia is an amazing chef. She prepared us a dinner one night that was one of the best meals of our vacation. The house was clean and well appointed - a pool with a large thatched roof open living room on the top floor. The layout is good for extended families or two small families - two bungalows each with a queen room, two twins room and a sitting room - on the second floor. There are some steep stairs which may be an issue for people with mobility issues but for us it was perfect. It was a very enjoyable stay. We hope to return again soon. A Beach Retreat

We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Arrullo. The view from every room and terrace is of the entire bay and it is absolutely stunning! It is a very large villa with 2 bungalows, each with 2 bedrooms, and a private sitting room. There was plenty of space for the 8 of us, both in the bungalows, in the palapa upstairs and on the patio/terrace. The infinity pool overlooks the bay and is the perfect temperature all of the time. Our host Gaby was great in communication and very accommodating. Anything we needed she looked after it right away. Leonardo and Sylvia, our onsite hosts, were just wonderful. Sylvia is an excellent cook and besides the wonderful breakfasts, we were fortunate to arrange an evening meal with her. Anything you desire, she will cook it up for you. We had many many interesting conversations with Leo, a very warm and pleasant individual. He made sure our needs were looked after and he would happily take us into town if needed. He would also arrange anything else we wanted such as taxi’s or take out food. Although, with the awesome location of Casa Arrullo just steps away from town, we found ourselves walking to the various restaurants near by and occasionally hoping on the local bus to get to other beautiful beaches in the area. As much as we too would like to keep this place a secret, we must share the beauty of the place and our excellent hosts Gaby, Leo and Sylvia. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful house and location

Just steps from the beach and a short walk into town. Our family of four loved hanging out at the pool - a great place to chill all day or base camp for short trips. Away from the busier beaches and town but everything is accessible when we wanted to go out and explore. Leo was hugely helpful with dining recommendations, taxis, and looking out for our crew. We would 100% come back. Do not miss the Pozole Verde at Santa Prisca Pozoleria on Thursdays.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!

We had a group of 4 couples. This property is absolutely breathtaking! The communication from the owner was awesome and all my questions were answered quickly. We asked to have a van pick us up and that was perfect with no issues at all. We were greeted by Leo, the house manager and what a gem he is!! He helped us with everything we needed or asked for. He went to the market with us to make sure we got the best deals and showed us around the area. He walked with us when we booked a snorkeling tour and made sure we knew where to go. Him and his family live on site but it is no issue at all. Leo goes to the bakery every morning and brings back fresh pastries and he puts out a platter of fresh fruit EVERY DAY!! He also makes the coffee for us EVERY MORNING!! We asked his wife, Sylvia if she would cook us a dinner one night. You have to do this!!! The meal was one of the best meals we had! It was homemade tortilla soup, red snapper on a bed of potatoes and leeks, carrots and asparagus and a homemade key lime pie. Leo even served all of us!! The property has a beautiful pool which we loved so much. The second level are the 4 bedrooms which were perfect. The 3rd level is all open palapa style and is HUGE. The kitchen is there with a huge sectional and 2 hanging hammocks to enjoy. We felt very safe here. There are several restaurants within walking distance and the downtown busy area is walkable as well. We are already planning to come back next year!!!!
