Functional house on two levels, calm and relaxing environment with the sound of the waves, located on a small fisherman's beach.
The house includes three air-conditioned bedrooms and three bathrooms that can accommodate eight vacationers, an indoor and an outdoor kitchen, a large terrace upstairs in deck overlooking the beach and another on the ground floor.
The house is facing the sea, feet in the water, where you can admire magnificent sunsets in an ideal setting for a Caribbean vacation.
Three minutes on foot, the lively village of Bellefontaine where you will find: convenience stores, bakery, pharmacy, fresh fish every day.
You will be a few minutes from Carbet, Saint-Pierre (city of arts and history) and the peeled mountain at Le Morne-rouge, an ideal region for hiking and scuba diving.

Great time; great house

House was as described. Air conditioning is in the bedrooms only, and is adequate. We loved being on the water, getting to know the neighbors, and the village. The host/owner is friendly and very accommodating. We ran out of propane one evening while cooking the meal and a new one was delivered within the hour. The overall experience could be improved with a "book of instructions" or directions on where to buy groceries, fuel for the car, etc. Some VRBO owners leave more detailed information.

Magical Spot

Beautiful house right on the beach! Quite residential neighborhood. Everything we needed for an enjoyable week — including amazing sunsets every evening! Lydiane, our host was so friendly and helpful. Even our language difference was a fun adventure! 😀

Lovely deck to view the sea

We stayed a week in this very clean and well equipped home located in an authentic fishing village. This is not situated in a crowded tourist town with lack of parking or along a commercial strip of cafes. Instead each day we enjoyed the sound of the waves on our own sandy beach 3 steps from our door, able to watch the local fishermen tend their nets. Twice we were there when many fishermen, with their children helping, pulled in the huge nets, allowing a few of us tourists to help, with even some youngsters from Canada pulling the net in with their dad. It is an easy walk or 2 minute drive to Bellefontaine where there is a bakery and small grocery store. Also it is just a short drive to St Pierre to view the ruins from the volcanoes and the Geology museum that explains it. We loved eating on the upper deck.

Wonderful house on the water!

This was the perfect house for our recent family vacation. We loved the porches. The top floor one was perfect for coffee in the morning and watching the sunset at night. We had all our meals at the table on the downstairs porch. We also played board games there and we never encountered bugs or mosquitos. The bedrooms were large and each had its own bathroom. The second bedroom upstairs actually had a bed and a futon which was nice for our daughters to each have their own space to sleep. The location is wonderful and not too touristy. It is close enough for grocery shopping, a bakery close by and various restaurants. The hosts were wonderful and met us there to show us around. The house was incredibly clean and had tons of amenities. They also left food for our first breakfast which was very kind. I wish we spoke more French so that we could have interacted more with them but they were hospitable and helpful. Great place for a quiet family vacation. We will be back!

Agréable séjour à la MAISON LES PIEDS DANS L'EAU

Nous avons apprécié la MAISON LES PIEDS DANS L'EAU. Maison entière tres propre offrant beaucoup d'espaces extérieurs, parfaits pour la détente. Cuisine extérieure également intéressante. Directement sur une petite plage de sable/galets noir. Douche extérieure, pour l'apres baignade. Parking a quelques mètres de la maison. Quartier quelque peu éloigné des restaurants/commerces, besoin de prendre la voiture pour s'y rendre. Excellent choix d'hébergement!
