Great little getaway with easy freeway access
The house was exactly what we needed for our eclipse trip! Plenty of room for us to relax, comfortably furnished and a well appointed kitchen. Hostess left a much welcomed pitcher of cold water in the fridge for us and a binder with info on the area and local eateries. Easy access to freeways and a quiet neighborhood at night. Would definitely recommend!

Great house near TCU
This was a great house for our girls weekend. Its location is great! We enjoyed walking to campus to see how much it's changed since we were students there. The house was a clean and comfortable place for us to relax and catch up. We didn't cook (too many great places to eat in FW!), but the kitchen appeared to be well-stocked. I was a little unsure about backing out of the driveway onto a busy street, but we had zero problems with it. Would be a great place to stay for football games/family weekend/graduation.

Wonderful bungalow with everything we needed, close to TCU
This is a charming, well-organized bungalow close to TCU, with two bedrooms, and absolutely everything a guest could need. The host even overnighted a coffee bean grinder for us! The home is tastefully filled with books and art, but done in such a way to leave plenty of room for our items. University drive is somewhat noisy, but we had been forewarned and brought earplugs, so we were fine. Overall, one of the best guest stays I have ever had. We were there for two weeks, and enjoyed the walks, dining, campus life, and quiet, comfortable reading spaces. Most highly recommend Sharon’s place.

I'm a native of Ft. Worth, TCU alum, love travel, museums, art, music, hiking, driving across the country, reading, cooking and spending time with family, friends and my dogs Alfie and Scooter. My husband and I are retired and spend time traveling to visit our children and grandchildren. We love to stay in Airbnb properties - we feel like we get a better understanding and appreciation for the town instead of staying in an institutional feeling hotel.

Why they chose this property

I've lived in this neighborhood both in my childhood and as an adult with my own family for many years. I purchased several homes in the neighborhood as investments. I like to remodel and update older homes. The University House had been a rental for many years until we decided to move into it ourselves for a brief period. After our experiences in other places staying in Airbnb rentals - we decided to set University House up for short-term rentals so others could enjoy the great location and a stay in a vintage home instead of a hotel. We love this neighborhood and all the unique offerings nearby: TCU events, bike trail, restaurants, zoo, museums, downtown, Magnolia, W. 7th, and of course the great shopping at University Village.
