This CHANEL Mademoiselle watch is an ode to Gabrielle ‘Coco’ Chanel’s revolutionary spirit – it takes its name from the eponymous founder’s title, which came with the fact she chose to never marry. It’s crafted from 18-karat yellow gold by the label’s ‘satellite’ ateliers – more than two dozen businesses that specialise in various métiers d’arts – and powered by an in-house quartz movement. The square face is trimmed with black edges to match the cabochon crown while a mother-of-pearl circle centres the dial Roman numeral dial. The four slender leather and chain-link straps that form the bracelet are an iconic carryover from Karl Lagerfeld’s debut as creative director ‘80s.
