The crenulated, columned Victorian face of this home is a far cry from a typical, rustic farmhouse. The real highlight is the wood-fired hot tub outside beneath the pergola. It looks out over the beautifully manicured gardens, bursting with lavender and colourful hydrangea. If you’re not dining in the grand room inside, head out to the Italian-style loggia where dining is set for the whole group beneath a wooden roof. You’re in the middle of the West Country’s farmland here, with walking trails on your doorstep. But the charming market town of Bridgewater is just a fifteen-minute drive away.
