This charming townhouse is the perfect base for a coastal retreat. The house is warm and cosy, with a log burner in the living room that’s just dreamy on dreary afternoons. It’s perfectly situated in the centre of Whitby, with beaches and tourist attractions within walking distance. After enjoying a hearty family breakfast in the dining room, you might head out to the Blue Flag West Cliff beach to stroll along the sand and admire the colourful beach huts. The townhouse is dog-friendly, so your four-legged friends can join in on the fun. Later on, climb the 199 steps to the Church of Saint Mary, or visit the ruins of Whitby Abbey to see what inspired Bram Stoker. Pick up world-class fish and chips to take back to the townhouse, and enjoy them in front of the fire. If your legs are aching from the steps, you might enjoy a glass of wine in the free-standing bathtub – the perfect way to end the day.
