About this property

Handcrafted shepherds hut with stunning views over Big Sand Bay, just outside Gairloch, over the Minch to Rona and Raasay. Clever compact accommodation tastefully finished with great attention to detail. Situated on the owners croft yet peaceful and private.
Open plan throughout with double bed, comfortable seating, TV, kitchen with electric oven, sink, fridge and microwave. Separate shower room with toilet and basin.
Situated in Peterburn, around 5 miles from Gairloch where you’ll find a selection of shops and eateries.
Great location for walking. Cycling, kayaking and sailing. Fishing and sightseeing trips available ib season from Gairloch.
No smoking.
No parties or events.
1 well behaved dog at no additional cost.
Check-in time is 3PM - 10PM. Check out time is 10AM.
Although housekeeping staff will clean the property after you leave, we respectfully ask all guests to clean and put away any plates, cups, glasses, etc they have used during their stay.
The hut is accessed by a steep private road not suitable for sports cars. There is parking at the bottom of the road.

excellent accommodation, access very difficult

Excellent accommodation and siting: Access track description is misleading: only accessible by 4x4: the 60m long slope is at 1:3 to 1:4 covered in loose stone. Previous failed attempts by vehicles had left ruts that made even walking up it difficult. The described steep footpath after anyone reached the parking area at the top was a doddle

Luxury accommodation in a stunning location

What a fit to create this cosy and highly appointed wee gem of a hut. It was a privilege to be guests in this lovely remote place with all the modern luxuries fitted into the miniature of the Shepard's hut. We especially appreciated the design coordination of the decor and fittings, done with great taste. For those who like remote sea views it is a perfect place to stay. Highly recommended.
