Take a stroll around the quay and enjoy streets lined with brightly painted elegant Georgian houses, browse art galleries, visit the Aberaeron Sea Aquarium, or take a catamaran trip (also available for hourly/weekly charter). There are numerous blue-flag beaches within easy reach as well as the majestic Ceredigion coast path where it is possible to glimpse the famous bottlenose dolphins that inhabit the bay.
The property itself is well equipped for a self-catering escape with flat-screen TVs in every room and 3 bathrooms shared between the 4 well-appointed bedrooms. The master bedroom has en-suite and French windows opening onto a balcony with breathtaking harbour views, a wonderful spot to sit and watch the sunset over Cardigan Bay. French doors open from the kitchen into a sunny conservatory, and the living room has a leather sofa, reclining armchairs, swivel chairs with footstools, and French doors opening onto the patio.
The garden and conservatory are a real sunspot and simply perfect for sitting out and enjoying the picturesque harbour. Aberaeron has lots to offer with numerous places to eat fresh seafood and other local produce for which the county is famed.
Outdoor enthusiasts will love the gloriously wild and rugged beauty of the Ceredigion coast which is interspersed with a variety of sandy beaches from Poppit Sands in the south all the way up to Aberdyfi in the North. There are wonderful clifftop walks nearby including the coastal path from Aberaeron to the sheltered sandy beach of Cei Bac, where you are likely to see seals, porpoises, dolphins, or the various sea birds that inhabit these pristine shores.
What’s more, Ceredigion has a variety of great villages and towns to sample on your travels, from the historical market town of Cardigan to the famous university town of Aberystwyth. We also recommend a trip to the vibrant town of New Quay or the quaint coastal villages of Llangrannog or Tresaith, to name just a few!
