I don’t usually leave reviews, but felt the need to share my personal experience with this specific hotel to help others. I am not a picky person and am OK roughing it a little but this hotel did not meet any of our standards.
Pros:
-close to Chinatown and many Asian restaurants that are all walking distance
-right next to the place d’italie metro station
-bed was comfortable
-affordable
Cons:
-booked 5 standard rooms that were all completely different sizes. The twin room was much bigger than the double room. I was only able to open my check-in size luggage in one small corner of our double room because it was incredibly small
-there is no refrigerator in the rooms (there is only one in the communal lobby you can use)
-our lock box, air conditioner, and room telephone did not work. We asked the staff to help fix them or switch our room but we came back to nothing changed and no communication
-the room is very old and had an extremely musty smell that only went away after we opened the window to air out for a day
-they do not give face towels, only have 1 bottle in the shower and sink for a multipurpose shampoo/soap/body wash
-our shower had pink mold stains in the grout upon check-in, on day 2 we asked them to clean our room, on day 4 we now had black mold on top of the pink mold in the shower
-no sink counter space at all in our double room. We had to put our toiletries on the ledge over the toilet on the other side of the room
