We had the most incredible stay at The Queen's View for so many reasons. On the way to the B&B, there was an accident in the middle of Linlithgow cutting off all traffic through the town and I had no idea how to get through to the B&B. Without needing to call, Catriona messaged us with directions helping us get around the traffic and saved an extended argument in the car! On arrival, we were greeted by Catriona and shown to our room (Superior Double Room w/ garden view), which was stunning and absolutely spotless. Everything in the room felt very high quality. We were very pleased to find that the room looked just as good in real life as it does in the photos. The view from the balcony was beautiful, looking out at the palace. Also, the bed had to be the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in! There was a great choice for breakfast in the morning that is ordered the night before. The Scottish breakfast was excellent! I’d be happy to recommend the Queen’s View to anyone. The room was fantastic but what really made our stay special was the extra care we received from Catriona, her family, and the staff. During our stay, it was my fiancée’s birthday. At breakfast, there were some lovely flowers waiting on the table with a card, and a further handmade card from Catriona’s daughter. There were a number of other times during our stay that the staff went above and beyond, and it was greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay and we can’t wait to return!

Honeymoon trip
We had the best stay at the Queens view. Every detail was covered, and everything was so comfortable. Our host was especially kind and friendly, and we really felt welcomed. The place was spotlessly clean and fresh. And the breakfasts each morning were wonderful. Would definitely reccomend to anyone looking for a relaxing weekend away.

What a wonderful experience from start to finish! Catriona was the ultimate hostess. Communicating before we arrived I mentioned that I had booked the overnight stay as a birthday treat for my husband. When we arrived we were given the immaculately decorated "Monarch" room with stunning views but she had also left a cake, card and balloons in the room. I was very touched by the personal service. Our rare child free night in Linlithgow was great but the room and service made it extra special. We can't wait to return with our daughter Isla who will love the large garden and play area. Thank you for being so warm and welcoming Catriona. Highly recommend this beautiful B&B

We stayed at Queens View for one night on arrival to Scotland. Next day we headed up to Inverness for a planned five nights; however, based on our most enjoyable stay the first night, we decided to cut short our Inverness visit for three more nights at QV. Thankfully, a room was available. What drew us back to Queen’s View? Firstly, the wonderful hospitality of Catriona, our host. She firstly offered us a cup of tea while she explained everything about the B&B. Then she took us to our room, which was lovingly appointed with all the amenities we could want. Next she offered up recommendations for dining (check out our review of the Four Marys) in Linlithgow. The next morning we had a lovely breakfast served fresh and hot. The porridge is so good and hearty; to take one through a busy day visiting Linlithgow Palace, and all the other wonderful castles, churches, etc to visit. The B&B is in a lovely country location overlooking a rolling meadow of grazing sheep, over which one can see the Linlithgow Palace. It is but five minutes to drive to the village for dining and shopping (the village is also on the train line to take a train into Edinburgh and avoid traffic and parking). Catriona (and Amanda who assisted her) were so friendly and offered up great conversation; all of which was genuine - not forced like at hotels or AirBnB locations. We felt truly welcome and we most certainly shall return on a future visit to Scotland!

The hotel is situated at convenient (30 min from Edinburgh by car) and a picturesque place on opposite side of the loch with a nice view on the Linlithgow Palace. The rooms are new, clean, huge as well as bathrooms. New furniture. The stuff is polite and friendly. They have what to suggest if you travel with kids. Overall, it is an absolutely amazing place. The best one.

Luxury B & B
Just returned from a two night stay in The Queens View luxury B & B. Can't fault this accommodation in any way. From the minute of arrival to departure we were looked after by Catriona. Our beautiful room had a fab view of Linlithgow Palace and the surrounding countryside and a lovely breakfast was offered to start the day. We have no hesitation in recommending this establishment and as we were in the area for a wedding are now considering a second visit to take in the surrounding attractions.
