wonderful property and wonderful host
The property is very conveniently located: quiet, but close to bus routes and downtown. It is surrounded by a beautiful garden, which made our stay even more special. The hosts are very attentive and accommodating and the place has everything that you need. I plan to come back to the island and hope to stay at this location again :)

Maria was so lovely. The personal touches are what make this place so special. Fresh avocados from the avocado tree, home made jam and butter and a few juice boxes left for you to welcome you. A home away from home. Mia (Maria’s cat) is also always around to also say hello :) the cherry on top.

Very walkable location to sights and restaurants. We appreciated the eggs and bread waiting for us as it was raining hard and it meant we did not have to venture out that first night.

Cottage garden oasis
Cottage was appropriate for a couple with one child. Very clean and the pool was lovely. Hostess Maria was very accommodating and helpful. You can walk from there to the ocean promenade but it’s a car ride to the historic section. Nice restaurants within walking.

Excellent!
The perfect place to enjoy Sao Miguel. The place is beautiful and immaculate. The location was great- supermarket close by, easy to get to highways and a quick 10 minutes to get to the centre. You can drive to any of the sights in less than an hour and enjoy the convenience of staying in a larger city. But at this little cottage you’d think you were in paradise with the avocado, banana and other fruit trees and beautiful flowers and gardens all around you and the pool! The hosts thought of everything and the fresh fruit and homemade preserves were very welcome after travelling. We look forward to going again.

Great stay
A wonderful rental! Absolutely immaculate and well equipped. The property and pool were exceptional and beautiful. Easy access to the island from this spot. Easy to walk to some locations in the city and an easy drive to others. Parking was never an issue in the city which made it easy when we did chose to drive in. We have rented many times while traveling so no what to expect. This home was better than the average rental.

A perfect getaway in São Miguel
Maria’s home was the perfect place to spend our time in São Miguel. Maria was warm and welcoming and showed us around the property and was always available if need be. The home we stayed in was quaint and felt lush and tropical. You can tell she cares about making her property beautiful with all of the plants. Maria has a cat, Mia, who joined us every morning as we ate breakfast on the front porch. The kitchen was well equipped, though we did find ourselves running out of paper towels and toilet paper come check out. My only issue was that I had a difficult time communicating prior to check in. I had a street address but no house number or details on how to check in which made me feel a little anxious with poor internet access. I’m not sure if I missed something on the website about check in, but wished the communication had been a bit better. Besides this, the stay was wonderful and was a convenient location in Ponta Delgada. I absolutely recommend this property for your trip to the Azores!

The host Maria was really friendly, welcoming and keen for her guests to enjoy their stay. Maria left us goodies to eat for our first day, there is an avocado tree outside the door which you are welcome to eat after they are ripe. The pool is shared with only one other holiday let. We walked around the beautiful gardens with Maria, she told us about all of the plants she has, it was great to see coffee bean plants and pineapples growing. The Apartment was clean and well equipped there is a kettle, toaster, fridge, hob, pans plates cutlery. Iron and ironing board and a small hairdryer. Maria supplies towels for the Apartment and the pool. Maria even supplies umbrellas which you will need at some point during your stay. The Casa Das Clivias is about 20 minutes walk from the sea front, we always felt safe whilst in the area, and local people were friendly. Go check out the market for fresh fruit from the Island.
