Why go and see it?

Ian Shaw gives ‘one of the most exhilarating performances of the year’ (Evening Standard) in the critically acclaimed smash-hit play The Shark is Broken.

The play takes us to Martha’s Vineyard, 1974, just as shooting on Jaws has stalled. The film’s lead actors - Robert Shaw, Roy Scheider and Richard Dreyfuss - are stuck on a boat, at the mercy of foul weather and a faulty mechanical co-star. Awash with alcohol and ambition, three hammered sharks start to bare their teeth...

The Shark is Broken

"Astutely directed" (Whatsonstage) by Guy Masterson, The Shark is Broken is created by Joseph Nixon, as well as Ian Shaw, the son of Jaws’ star Robert Shaw. Shaw plays his father in an ‘absolutely spellbinding’ (Daily Mail) performance, while Liam Murray Scott "brings Richard Dreyfuss superbly to life" (The Times), and Demetri Goritsas is "pitch-perfect" (Metro) as Roy Scheider.

Der der, der der… don’t miss it!
