Afternoon Tea for with Bubbles Two at Nunsmere Hall 10785790

Food lovely, service slow or non extinct felt like we sat in a draft and couldn’t ask to move as no staff about, could of done with better cutlery with desserts

I visited Nunsmere Hall Hotel for afternoon tea with my husband. We were greeted in reception by a friendly man, we were then shown to the Crystal Restaurant, a waitress asked what drink we would like & if we had any dietary requirements etc. I was under the impression we had a glass of fizz included in my gift. The waitress said she would ask, I had to get her attention if we had fizz included, she had forgotten to ask, she was then going to ask & let me know..she did not return with an answer. I didn’t feel it was suitable for me to chase her or a member of staff for a third time. Meanwhile we had eaten quite a bit of the food by then. I have had afternoon tea before in various locations and this was very average. No one came to check if everything was ok with the food and drink at all. Once we had finished, we left very disappointed. I chose Nunsmere Hall Hotel specifically to enjoy afternoon tea but sadly it was a very underwhelming experience.

Had a very enjoyable afternoon tea with bubbles at Nunsmere Hall. Very gracious setting - lovely house and gardens, peaceful and relaxing room. Very welcoming and pleasant staff. Traditional afternoon tea, all very acceptable . We were left to enjoy the food and the surroundings. Would definitely recommend - the afternoon tea was as expected and typical of most places but the venue itself made it feel a special occasion.
