Unique afternoon tea

This was a joint gift for my husband and me. It is a savoury "tea", which suited us better than a sweet one. The food was delicious and plentiful. The venue was lovely, but unfortunately the service wasn't great. Firstly we were presented with a large pot of tea and 2 bottles of beer (no tankard as advertised). We also had a large bottle of drinking water and glasses on the table. We were then left alone for about 20 minutes before the food arrived. We felt we should have been given some choice about the order in which our drinks would be served, rather than being presented to us all at once and well before any food. At no point did anyone ask us if everything was Ok, something we would expect of such a venue. That said, the food was delicious and went down well with the beer. The tea on the other hand might have been better at the end if we'd been given any choice.

Gentlemen’s afternoon tea was an excellent experience from the moment we arrived. Great location with super views across River Thames towards St Pauls. Very pleasant and welcoming staff, and the food was very tasty and plentiful ( box required to take some home). All in all a most enjoyable afternoon

Great experience on the top floor. Fab views out over the Thames. Gentlemen’s afternoon tea was fab!! Quite a large portion and stuffed after. Good range of teas.
