Presented in a beautiful leather bag designed by Bill Amberg, a world famous British designer and whiskey fan. Yamazaki 18 Year Old Single Malt is the Suntory Group's most awarded Japanese whiskey with gold medals at the International Spirits Challenge (2007) and the San Francisco World Sprits Competition (2005). Produced in the oldest distillery in Japan, it is assembled from whiskeys aged 18 to 25 years. Launched in 1992, it is composed of approximately 80% whiskeys aged in sherry casks, and the rest of whiskeys from American oak and Mizunara casks. It’s an absolutely breathtaking marriage offering fruity, woody and smoky notes. Thick nose with influences of citrus, sherry and oak. Rich in taste on the tongue, light smoke with accents of honey and nuts. Then dry, spicy cherries and dates with a little smoke. The taste is incredibly complex. The aftertaste is long, hot and dry.
