Hull Station can be found within the Hull Paragon Interchange, the integrated rail and bus station in the city centre. On arrival, look out for the bronze statue of poet Philip Larkin, the librarian at the Brynmor Jones Library at the University of Hull for over thirty years, who turned down the role of poet laureate. Commissioned in 2010, the charming sculpture marked the 25th anniversary of his death and depicts the famous poet typically striding forth. Perhaps he's late for his train!

Hull Paragon Interchange lies on the original Paragon Station site, which dates back to 1848. There have been various developments over the years until, finally, the modern-day Paragon opened its doors in 2007. Inside is a shopping centre, a hotel, the Hull Truck Theatre Company and the Albermarle Music Centre. Meanwhile, the interchange's convenient placement means it's only a short walk to the old town and the popular Princes Quay.
