The Eco Series Tier1 Whole House Carbon and KDF water purification system is a Whole House solutions package that meets the water filtration needs of smaller homes, condominiums, and offices. As a point of entry system, the Eco Series delivers fresh filtered water to every room of your home without the need for addition point of use filtration hassles or under-sink clutter. With a small floor plan footprint the system can be easily installed by the main water feed line without taking up much space in the supply room. The Eco Series Tier1 Whole House Carbon and KDF water purification system reduces sediment, herbicides, pesticides, and chlorine taste and odor along with a majority of microorganisms and small alloy particles using its carbon and KDF media blend. This mixture is specifically designed to capture small metals and turn harmful contaminants into harmless components though the use of electro-chemical reactions with the KDF media. Carbon media reduces left over unpleasant tastes and odors to complete

KDF Media Advantages and Benefits

KDF (Kinetic Degradation Fluxion) media is a copper-zinc formulation blend that is highly effective at reducing chlorine, lead, mercury, iron, and hydrogen sulfide from your water. Typically used as pre-treatment or as a primary treatment method, KDF media delivers a superior filtration performance compared to traditional carbon exclusive treatment. The process works by exchanging electrons with contaminants in order to change them into less problematic, harmless components. In the case of chlorine, an electronic is picked up from the KDF media to turn the chlorine into chloride, a more stable ion generally present in salt. For hydrogen sulfide, the copper loses an electron and the sulfur gains an electron to form copper sulfide and water. Insoluble copper sulfide can then be backwashed from the KDF media. Invest in a system which provides effective chlorine and heavy metal reduction with Tier1.

Importance of Pre-Filtration

Pre-filtration is a wise move for whole home solution systems as it filters out particles that would otherwise clog up the following systems. Usually in the form of sediment filters such as polypropylene and pleated media or as carbon block filters, these pre-filters offer a primary layer of defense to help extend the life of whole home systems and filter out larger particles. This layer of defense is fairly standard on reverse osmosis systems and softeners as it is advised to protect these systems but even if you don't have this equipment, whole home housings and filters effectively reduce the amount of dirt, sediment, and silt that would flow through your plumbing and affect your water using appliances. Ensure you have the protection your systems and home need with Tier's line of Whole House Cartridge Systems.

Quick and Easy Installation

Tier1's carbon and KDF system can be easily installed onto your home's main water line. Flex connector, 3/4 inch stainless steel nipple, and 3/4 inch ball valve are provided for minimal required extra parts. This system does not include a valve head, which would require additional programming and system maintenance. Simply connect the system and it will go to work providing filtered water throughout your home.
