We're grateful for the support of The National Lottery who have helped us ensure panto can return to Manchester, starring Salford-born Jason Manford as Muddles, with comic legend Billy Pearce as King Billy, musical theatre leading lady Jodie Prenger as the Enchantress and Eric Potts as the Queen in this year’s unmissable family production.
This year's production, created especially for Manchester Opera House in this unprecedented year, will be a riotously funny, one-act celebration of pantomime, packed full of comedy and laughter and will allow audience members the opportunity to come safely together and enjoy the magic of the much-loved and unique art form this festive season.

Sound levels will be lowered and certain effects such as strobe lighting and pyrotechnics will be removed. It’s ideal for those who have an autism spectrum condition, people with a learning disability, parents with very young children or others who would prefer a less formal atmosphere.
Opera House Manchester
Originally The New Theatre, it opened on Boxing Day, 1912. It went through several iterations, being renamed once before becoming the Opera House in 1920. It's also been used for different functions; as a cinema in WW2, then a bingo hall before reopening as a theatre again in 1984. Since, it has hosted magnificent shows like Barnum and Phantom of the Opera.
