1st time owner of an Oliso
Having never owned an Oliso iron before, I used it for the first time to press my quilt blocks/seams and it has wonderful heat, but it doesn't have a straight edge to move the fabric up and over the seam. In a perfect world, I would love to own an iron with a triangular shape and a pointed tip to use while I'm pressing my quilt blocks. I like the fact it doesn't have to be picked up constantly and then placed upright on the ironing board.

Oliso TG1600 Pro is a fantastic iron
Oliso TG1600 Pro is a fantastic iron. Yes, it is pricey but well worth it if you iron or sew. It heats up and cools down really quickly. The setting dial allows you to set the exact temp to meet your fabric needs. The plate glides over every fabric like a cloud... I would highly recommend this iron. I also have the smaller version and use for small projects. Love them both.

The Oliso iron makes Quilting a Joy
This iron has made ironing a breeze, I have severe arthritis in my hands making it difficult and very painful to lift an iron or do ironing. The Oliso is a Godsend.

Great features. Does not last
I really like the features but this is now my third iron and something always goes wrong after just a few months. The iron is way too pricey to fail after a few months.

A Sewer’s Iron!
This is an amazing iron especially for a sewer! It heats up quickly and stays on for a half hour after you leave the ironing board to sew. When you return to the iron board, the iron is still hot! Also, love the feature of never having to bring the iron up when done ironing. It stands up as soon as it senses your hand has let go of the iron! Love the ceramic plate as well. Clean surface.
