A sobering look into our food supply chain

Benjamin Lorr deeply embeds himself into the supermarket supply chain to figure out where our food comes from. And at what cost. The book casts a wide net, talking about the origin of the supermarket, and then following with an in-depth investigation of the trucking industry, fishing industry (Shrimp in particular) and the cutthroat fight by food entrepreneurs for retail space on shelves. It's a great book that investigates what our desire for premium products (meat, fish, fresh fruits/vegetables) at bargain price has created. Highly recommend - 5/5
