Built on a beautiful, private olive grove, this Greek villa has some of the most stunning mountain views we’ve seen (and we’ve seen a lot). Split across two floors, it’s the ideal place for families to enjoy some downtime together – we particularly love the pergola-shaded terrace, the perfect place to start your day with breakfasts of Greek yoghurt and honey before lounging by the pool. When the heat of the sun gets too much, cool off in the soothing waters of your private swimming pool, or head to the ocean for a dip – the home is only a fifteen-minute walk or a five-minute drive from the picturesque fishing village of Sissi, where you’ll find beautiful blue seas and tasty local tavernas. Spend your day wandering the narrow winding streets of old houses shaded by blossoming bougainvillaea – make sure you pop into one of the authentic Greek bars to sample some Ouzo. If you wish to explore even further afield, you’ll find the large, famous beach at Malia just a ten-minute drive away, alongside an array of bars, nightclubs and restaurants. The water park here is a great option for a day out, or maybe you’d prefer to explore the Monastery of St George Selinari and the ancient ruins of Malia Palance. Whatever you decide, you’ll love returning to dine alfresco and sip sundowners inside the traditional stone walls of your private garden.
