Recently renovated in 2021, this grand Georgian house has been given a major modern facelift with a sleek kitchen and dining area extension that calls out for large group celebrations and special occasions. Located less than fifteen minutes by car from the charming seaside town of Aldeburgh, while being surrounded by the walking paths, cycle routes and golf courses of Suffolk's AONB, this home offers the best of both worlds. Stepping inside to the right of the front door, you'll be greeted by an elegant sitting room flourishing with original features – from the antique fireplace in the centre to the wood floors and French doors out to the garden. We particularly love the funky decorative details, most notably the purple velvet sofa, vintage jukebox and lower bar area with a drinks cabinet. You can see the character, history and period features from the get-go, creating a warm and impressionable welcome. There's even an additional family room, complete with a modular sofa and a wood-burning stove for those cosy movie nights in when the wind picks up outside. It really feels like a home you want to linger in, with new surprises waiting at every turn. Speaking of, walk through to the newly designed open-plan kitchen, living space and dining area, and instantly notice the high-end touch that's been given to this contemporary extension. The modern interior unifies the entire space with a fabulous sense of openness, thanks to the wall of sliding glass doors, that can be thrown open, immediately extending your communal area outside. It's a seamless transition from the bright dining area, complete with a bespoke ash farmhouse style dining table, to the pristine, marble-topped kitchen and sociable breakfast bar. Cradle your morning coffee or early evening cocktail while sat on the stylish basket bar stools or sink into the comfortable bench seating with your eyes firmly set on the floating fire. Spill out into the garden for a pizza-oven dinner and a couple more glasses of celebratory bubbly.

About Suffolk

In Southwold, a Victorian pier juts out into the sea and the smell of fresh fish and chips floats on the sea air. Aldeburgh makes the most of river and sea, where colourful rowboats drift down the river Alde, and the seafront is lined with...
